Work July 29
by Administrator
I have been very tired lately and getting up for work anywhere near on time has been difficult. I still had time to shower and eat breakfast before work this morning, but it wasn’t pleasant and I only made it in on time because Jane was nice enough to stop and pick me up as I was walking. We worked alllll day today along the shores of a pond by Mount Misery. Mount Misery is no fun because it is really humid, there is dog poop throughout the woods, and nobody ever has their leash on their dog where they are supposed to. I never seem to have to yell at anyone because John likes to do it, so that part isn’t so bad for me. We worked today with the trail maintenance guys for the LLCT, who work all day on the same trails as us, and I never saw them or even knew they existed. It is like they work in some parallel Lincoln Trail universe, that only overlaps at the Whistlestop Coffee Shop (they were unaware that Verril Farms in Concord existed). One of the quirks of working on a more frequented property like Mount Misery, is you have a million middle aged women who are always kind enough to point out that you are working in a field of poison ivy. I have been blessed the past couple of days, by having the littlest amount of poison ivy I’ve had basically since I started working. Sadly though, I should have paid more attention to what the women were saying and had less faith in my almighty Teknu, as today my wrists are again covered in a lovely youthful poison ivy rash.

people have to learn to pick up their trash:

My brother Alex was also kind enough to take my brother Stephen and I out for our first Japanese food ever. I didn’t try any sushi, but what I did try was very good. I got really nerds on my less than good cake batter ice cream at this place in Lexington.
