Victims of Post-Election Violence in Kenya

by Ian Maclellan

A few of the buildings in Kisumu that were burned down during post-election riots and chaos in Kenya and a portrait from an interview with the step-father of someone Peter is helping in court, who had his business burned down, his life threatened, friends killed, and was put in a IDP camp before sneaking back to his homeland in a sugar truck, because he was a political leader in support of Prime Minister Odinga . He is now seeking the financial retribution he deserves and is meeting with a group of other IDPs who are looking for justice after the post-election violence. We will sadly be in Kakuma during their next meeting so will miss out on the opportunity of talking with his IDP group.
